menten GmbH celebrates its 25th anniversary

2014 is a special year for menten GmbH – it marks the company’s 25th anniversary. A quarter of a century spent in a tough, fast-paced business world built up around the AS/400 is a long period of time. While many companies disappeared from the market long before they could blow out some candles on their birthday cake, menten GmbH has now every reason to celebrate.

During its eventful history, menten GmbH has managed to grow from a small, regional software house developing AS/400 tools to an EDI specialist operating worldwide.

Products such as ASCON (X.400 connection), EDICON (EDIFACT converter) and GZIP400 (data compression) were the beginnings of i‑effect^®, menten’s standard solution created in 2004, which now has more than 15 modules for conversion, communication, archiving, encryption, and for qualified digital signature.

A strong market presence combined with customer proximity is the key to success

The company’s founder, Ralph Menten, and his team have been showing a great commitment to their work since 1989, earning trust and acknowledgement of their customers and partners. menten GmbH was one of the first experts to work with the – at that time – new AS/400 server family.

More than 500 customers and 1200 installations world-wide reflect menten’s extensive experience and know-how on both hardware and software in the AS/400 environment. The company’s customers represent various business sectors, such as trade, industry, finances, energy supply, insurances, logistics as well as automobile.
